Short Brief:
Operations Manager - Stephen has a diverse professional background with a strong grounding in environmental, project and organisational management that has seen him achieve outstanding outcomes with a wide range of stakeholders, settings and challenges. His previous roles in compliance, environmental consulting and asset management have involved consultation and facilitation at all levels of the public and private sectors.
Stephen has worked globally on campaign start up for drilling organisations where he quickly found his niche as a highly effective facilitator and coach of safe work behaviour in dangerous and hazardous environment. One of Stephen's key strengths is his adaptable nature, at both a people and task-related level, and the ability to resolve whatever obstacle or challenge that is presented to him.
Along with his successes in the area of behavioural change in the offshore environment, Stephen has worked in a variety of projects in the private and public sector that have been delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all associated stakeholders. Steve’s engaging manner and ability to work with multiple stakeholders keeps him sought after as an experienced and respected project and program manager.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Management). He is actively involved with CarersNSW as a volunteer assisting with activities and counseling of young people at risk and leading initiatives at organised camps and events. He is also a recipient of the Star of Courage Bravery Award from the Australian Government and a Citation of Merit for Bravery in Surf Rescue from the Surf Life Saving Association of Australia as a result of his actions in a great white shark attack in February 2000.
