Chief Executive and President of Beyond The Break. Simon has over 15 years experience in the disciplines of leadership, team development and cultural change initiation. During his career he has assisted organisations in the public and private sector in the disciplines of executive development, general management, strategic planning and human resources. Simon has a particular interest in leadership: initiation, development and sustainability with a commitment to safe operations and safe workplaces.
Since 2000 Simon has facilitated and spoken by request in North America, South East Asia, Europe, Japan, Africa and throughout Australia for global fortune 500 companies and government bodies. In 2011 Simon spoke internationally on sustainable leadership practice.
Developing high performing teams, including the leadership skills and capacity to drive high performing teams remains Simon's forte. Successfully planning, implementing Organisational Development and Change Management projects from conception to implementation and evaluation has been Simon's recent pursuits with significant global clients.
Simon has worked with Oil & Gas organisations globally since 2000. Over recent years Simon and his team have worked with ExxonMobil and other global clients (Operators, Drilling Contractors & Service Companies) to improve performance and safety in day-to-day operations.
Simon has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and has postgraduate qualifications in Behavioural Psychology and Leadership Practice. He is a member of the Australian Association for Psychological Type, National Speakers Association of Australia and other educational organisations. He is an accredited type facilitator (MBTI), accredited team role facilitator (Belbin) and facilitator of the management team role indicator (MTR-i).
