Short Brief:

Russell has considerable experience in the offshore drilling industry as a lead HSE
Advisor and Supervisor. Since 1996 Russell has worked within oil & gas and the
offshore drilling industry in various capacities. He has experience in The Bass Strait,
Timor Sea and the West Coast of New Zealand on Jack Ups, Semi Submersibles and
Modular Platform Drilling Rigs.

In 2003 Russell was identified as being a proactive Safety Leader and he was given the opportunity to specialize in the Heath, Safety and Environmental facets of the drilling Industry.  In 2006 Russell became an on site Quality, Heath, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Advisor.

More recently Russell made the transition from on site to office management and was responsible for all facets of onshore HSE Management and field support of drilling operations. Russell has experience in the facilitation of Weekly HSE and Safety Leadership meetings, conducting analysis of QHSE statistics and direction of field HSE Advisors implementing industry safety initiatives, incident analysis and corrective action development.

The last campaign Russell was involved in (Rig 175) became one of the more successful operations for ExxonMobil globally. Some of the key achievements included 263 Days 'Hurt Free', 762 days Lost Time Injury Free, First Hurt Free inter platform rig move and 870 days Environmental Spill Free. Russell is an approachable and highly respected team player, he is a keen family man and this is where he obtains his drive to ensure that all operations should be, and must be, conducted safely.

Russell is currently studying for his Certificate IV in OHS. He holds Cert IV Work Place Training & Assessment, TapRoot Advanced Incident Investigator Licence (5 Day), Human Factors Management in Safety Critical Industries, MODU SPEC - Rig Inspection Workshop, NOPSA Occupational Health and Safety Representatives Offshore course (5 Day), Safety Leadership Training, Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods, Offshore Primary First Aider, IADC Well Cap - Well Control, Supervisor (Surface Qualification) Helicopter Underwater Escape Training, Dogman Certification, Fire Fighting Level 2, Height Safety Awareness, Retrieval from Heights, Confined Space Awareness, Entry & Standby, IADC Stuck Pipe, Work Cover - Return to Work Coordinator (2 Day), Advance Safety Auditing.
