Matthew has a strong professional background in the offshore oil and gas industry.
Matthew is an articulate professional who is passionate about his work and enjoys a
well earned reputation for his commitment to leading HSE initiatives.

He has worked on location including, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and The Bass Strait and North West Shelf in Australia.

As a full time HSE advisor on three different rigs, in three different countries, Matthew has an excellent understanding of the day-to-day operational requirements of daily rig operations. Starting as a Roustabout and working his way up to an Assistant Driller before taking on an HSE role allows Matthew to have an instant report with rig crews on board.

A hands-on, solutions-focused HSE Professional with demonstrated success in
identifying and assessing potential hazards and ensuring safety of personnel has been
a key strength of Matthew's approach. Recognised for providing innovative and practical
training on HSE & S policies and procedures, contributing to the effectiveness of the team
and leading key safety initiatives in daily rig safety has kept Matthew at the forefront of HSE practice.

Matthew is currently studying a Postgraduate Certificate in OHS at Edith Cowen University in Western Australia. He holds qualifications including a Certificate IV in OHS, Diploma in OHS, ERGT-Basic Vertical Rescue, BOSIET, Confined Space Entry Rescue, Fire Fighting and Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, Enter Confined Spaces, Gas Test Atmosphere, Lead Emergency Teams, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Helicopter Landing Officer Course, Offshore Helicopter Refuelling & Fuel Quality Control and attended the IADC Well Cap- Well Control Instruction Course.
