Short Brief:

Brendan has a professional background in education and teaching initially as a high school teacher before becoming head of faculty. Taking a sabbatical from teaching he became involved in project management of school construction and refurbishment works as a manager and facilitator between stakeholders developing a particular interest in safety management and leadership behavior on work sites.

Brendan is currently leading safety initiatives as Safety Coach for BTB working with Esso Angola. He brings to the team expertise, experience and skills in motivating groups of people from diverse backgrounds. Brendan’s enjoyment in learning about foreign cultures and an ability to get along with a broad range of people are skills he largely attributes to his teaching and extensive travel through Africa and an 18 year association with his local Surf Life Saving Club, where he was a patrol captain for 14 years. He is also involved with the “South Sudan Educates Girls” charity group and assists with literacy for the Sudanese community in Sydney as a volunteer.

Brendan remains active in his community and is a devoted husband and father. Brendan holds a Diploma of Teaching, a Bachelor of Education Degree and a Master of Education Degree from the University of NSW. He also holds a Certificate IV in Construction.
